Newfoundland July, 2010. The province of a thousand lakes or as the Newfoundlander's affectionately call, ponds.

We started out in the region of Avalon in the capital of St. John's with it's colourful houses, Signal Hill and Canada Day celebrations and even discovered a great vegetarian restaurant. We headed to Witless Bay for whale watching and hiked Doctor's Cove. We then went to Bonavista, Cape Spear and took in some history of the "Rock". We drove to Trinity and Port Rexton and hiked the Sherwick Trail, ending our trip at Random Past, a replica of a village from the 1900's which they made into a TV series.
